Meghan Markle was seen breaking into tears in the latest look at her and Prince Harry's explosive Netflix docuseries. It has been confirmed that 'Volume 1' of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's series will air this Thursday (December 8) with a second installment following a week later on December 15.
A first look at the couple's ' unprecedented and in-depth' show premiered last week and the one-minute trailer, which featured never before seen private photographs of the couple, came as a surprise as it was released on the second day of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s high-profile trip to the US.
In one section of the footage, Meghan appears to be wiping away tears with both hands as they stream down her face, while Harry sits and tilts his head right back, seemingly in distress. The couple are heard being asked: “Why did you want to make this documentary?"

"No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors… I had to do everything I could to protect my family”, while Meghan says, “When the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
In the brand new one-minute teaser clip released on Monday (December 5), Harry narrates: "It’s really hard to look back on it now and go ‘what on earth happened?' There’s a hierarchy of the family, you know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories. It’s a dirty game.
"The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy. I was terrified, I didn’t want history to repeat itself. No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth."
As Harry mentions a "feeding frenzy", the sounds of photographer's cameras play out as Meghan says: "I realised, 'They're never going to protect you.'" She is then seen sat next to her husband as she used both hands to wipe tears from her face.
Harry then admits: "I was terrified," before hinting at his own tragic past, saying: "I didn't want history to repeat itself," before footgae of his late mother, Princess Diana, was seen as she made her way through photographers while hiding her face.
The documentary's bio has also today been updated to say: "In an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share the other side of their high-profile love story.
"Across six episodes, the series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution. With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.
"From the critically-acclaimed, two-time Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning director Liz Garbus, Harry & Meghan is a never-before-seen look at one of the most-discussed couples in history."
