Meghan Markle's brand new Spotify podcast has left palace officials worried over what she might share in it, a royal expert has claimed.
Earlier this week, the first episode of Archetypes dropped and featured an interview with Meghan's close friend and t ennis superstar Serena Williams. In the nearly hour-long podcast, Meghan spoke to the athlete about "the double standard women face" and said she didn't feel the negative connotation of the word ambitious until she "started dating my now husband" Prince Harry. She also told of how her and Harry’s son Archie narrowly escaped a fire in his bedroom when he was meant to be sleeping, during the Sussexes' tour of South Africa in 2019 - and how she had to go out after to do another official engagement.
Much has been made about the podcast with many of the stories in it poured over in detail.
And according to Omid Scobie, one of the authors behind the book Finding Freedom, Meghan's podcast has been causing concern in the palace over what she might say in upcoming episodes.
Writing in his column for Yahoo, Omid says: "Of course, it wouldn’t be a conversation about the Sussexes without mentioning the palace’s 'fears'.

"I’m told Buckingham Palace aides were most definitely not keeping calm, nor carrying on after the show’s premiere on Tuesday, worried about what else might be shared over the next 12 weeks.
"Once silenced by the establishment, it’s clear that Meghan finally has her voice back. A voice that will be very familiar to those who followed her before Harry. This time, however, she’s brought an entire movement alongside it."
Omid's comments come as a close friend of Meghan's said she 'means well' with her new podcast and has lauded her efforts to 'attack' important subjects.
Nacho Figueras, an Argentine polo player who works as an ambassador for Prince Harry's charity Sentebale, heaped praise on the Duchess of Sussex following the launch of Archetypes.
Speaking at a charity polo match in Aspen, Colorado, on Thursday, which was not attended by the duchess herself, her pal Figueras said: "She is always there, they have two very young children. She's also working very hard on her podcast that I want to congratulate her on.
"Sometimes the team has to divide to go on duty. That's the only reason she's not here, but she's always here in spirit."
"I think that she means well, she really wants to empower women and attack certain subjects that I think are important."
The polo player added that he wishes her the best in producing the podcast, and said he knew that she "cares about making the world a better place."
The launch of Archetypes comes close to two years after Archewell Audio's partnership was Spotify was first announced.
Meghan and Harry signed a lucrative deal with the audio streaming giant to host and produce podcasts, estimated to be worth around £18 million in late 2020.
But until the Serena Williams episode, the couple had only released one show so far - a holiday special featuring their son Archie and celebrity guests.
