Meghan Markle adopted a subtle hand gesture that exposed her true feeling over her children's new royal titles, says a body language expert.
With the announcement of Lilibet's christening on Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that Archie and Lilibet would be known as prince and princess.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the change and the youngster's new titles have been update on the royal family's official website.
Prince Harry told the King of his desire for his children to use the titles during conversations which took place before his controversial memoir Spare was released.
On Thursday, Meghan was spotted out enjoying a brunch with friends to mark International Women's Day - and body language expert Judi James believes she made a signal used by politicians.
Speaking to the Mirror, she explained: "Meghan's body language looks crafted to create a very gracious hybrid cross between 'regal' and A-list celeb here.
"Her styling suggests serious and sensible to the point of severe."
Dressed in all-black, Meghan was wearing dark Valentino sunglasses, white Valentino slip-on mules and a black and white Chanel handbag while she left the Gracias Madre restaurant in West Hollywood.
While Meghan hid her eye expression, Judi believes Meghan was communicating through her smile.
She continued: "With her hair pulled back and the huge shades she conceals her eye expression from the cameras and the wide, rather forced-looking smile could be a nod to her days on perma-smiling royal visits although it is aimed at the ground not the crowds, which gives it the more knowing look of a celebrity acknowledging their adoring fans but without any actual eye connection.
"She also places one hand to her chest in a signal associated with loyalty, love and modesty. It's a signal politicians use a lot when they want to suggest honour and honesty."
As Meghan left the venue, she was greeted by waiting photographers, who wished her a happy International Women's Day.
Before she got into her waiting car, Meghan told them: "Have a good day guys - thank you so much."
It was the first time the former Suits actress had been seen since the announcement of Lilibet's christening and her children's titles.
Previously the youngsters, who are sixth and seventh in line the throne, were Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor
Title rules set out by King George V in 1917 meant Archie and Lili, as the children of a son of a sovereign, automatically became a prince and a princess when Charles became King.
It was previously reported in 2021 that Charles, in a bid to limit the number of key royals, intended, when he became monarch, to prevent Archie becoming a prince.
To do so, he would have to issue a Letters Patent amending Archie's right to be a prince and Lili's right to be a princess.
Royal sources insisted the King had no intention of not allowing the children to use the titles, to which they are entitled as the grandchildren of the monarch.
Although one insider noted how Harry’s chats with his father "conveniently" occurred before the publication of his bombshell memoir Spare, which he released in January.
Lilibet's 'princess' title was used for the first time when her christening was announced - with the ceremony happening at the Sussex's home in California.
The King, the Queen Consort and the Prince and Princess of Wales were reportedly invited but did not attend, but there were a reported 20 to 30 guests, including godfather Tyler Perry.
An insider told the Mirror: "To have the two most senior royals and their wives fly to the States for Lilibet's christening would have been a massive operation both in terms of security and planning.
"Under the cardinal rule for royal travel, Charles and William cannot fly together so it would have needed at least two flights to have them attend."
