Meghan Markle's friend Priyanka Chopra's new show Citadel 'takes swipe' at Kate Middleton

A new Amazon Prime Video series appeared to throw shade at Kate Middleton.

Citadel, which stars Meghan Markle's long-term friend Priyanka Chopra, has reportedly taken a swipe at the Duchess of Sussex's sister-in-law Kate Middleton.

In the series’ third episode, Chopra, who plays espionage agent Nadia Sinh, provides another character instructions via an earpiece, according to the Daily Mail.

During a meeting with a crime boss, the actress reportedly instructs the other character to say, “The chief of armed forces? You might as well have asked me how to get between the legs of the Duchess of Cambridge!”

And whilst Kate's official title was changed to the Princess of Wales after Queen Elizabeth II died in September, she likely still held the title of the Duchess of Cambridge when Citadel season one was shot.

It comes as the relationship between the royal in-laws is seemingly at an "all-time low".

Reports previously claimed that Kate was emotional due to a tiff over flower girl dresses, however Meghan has since 'clarified' that it was the 'reverse' that happened.

Four months after the spat was revealed, Chopra, who met Meghan at a Women in Television dinner in 2016, sat right behind Kate and Prince William at Wimbledon and seemed to ignore the pair.

The Indian star was spotted in a clip from the tennis tournament avoiding eye contact with the royals as they took their seats right in front of her.
