Meghan Markle has been praised for her cool and calm reaction after a mourner tried to snub the Duchess' advances during a meet and greet.
Over the weekend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a rare appearance alongside Kate Middleton and Prince William at Windsor Castle.
The two royal couples reunited to pay their respects to mourners who had gathered outside Queen Elizabeth II 's former residence on Saturday.
However, it seems that the meet and greet did not go down too well for the Duchess of Sussex, as she was met with a lot of cold shoulders.
In fact, while the former actress was accompanying her husband, and was pictured hugging and consoling mourners, some members of the public weren't having any of it.
And one mourner completely snubbed the former Suits star when she tried to shake hands with her, and looked away stoically.
The incident happened when Meghan was walking around mourners waiting outside the gate of Windsor castle, shaking hands and hugging others. As she passed a few people, one woman was captured lowering her head to ignore her and avoid her gaze.
The woman then lifted her head and gave the Duchess of Sussex the stink eye, before laughing.
Other mourners in the crowd also tried ignoring Meghan, with one person being seen withdrawing their hand, and another putting on sunglasses to avoid making eye contact.
The rude reactions were shared on social media, but were met with mixed comments. Some people have slammed the woman who gave Meghan the side eye as gross, while others praised her.
One applauded the rude woman, writing: "You can go on Oprah. You can write a book. You can do a podcast. And it was all blown away by the Lady in Blue."
One more user, amused by the whole episode, wrote: "Protect that lady in blue at all cost. I would have done the exact same thing. She needs to be interviewed by @danwootton about her exact thoughts. #GoHomeMeghanMarkle #Megxit."
However, others praised Meghan for being true to herself, writing: “They're just jealous, Meghan who is black married a prince and they're not.'”
And other users were also left unhappy with the incident. One person did not hold back, and wrote: “The lady is an actual embarrassment. Typical school girl bullying behaviour.”
While a second wrote: "How awkward for those people going to pay respects to the Queen then having to be polite to 2 clowns that have called them racist. Wonder if any of them were the people who got letters from the Sussex about not looking at them if seen in the grounds…?"
Others told the MailOnline that they appreciated Meghan flying out to support her husband. One well-wisher told the publication: "It's lovely to see them both together. Maybe they can get back to a proper relationship. Lovely ripple went through the crowd as they approached."
They added: "Hopefully, the healing between Harry and his brother can start now. I'm just so excited to have seen them both together. It's lovely."
