Meghan Markle will not be joining Prince Harry as he joins members of the royal family at Balmoral Castle to visit the Queen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in the UK this week to attend a charity event in London for sick children.
Both royals have backed out of the Well Child Awards following the concerning reports of the Queen's ailing health, writes the Mirror. Both Meghan and Prince Harry attended the One Young World summit in Manchester earlier this week, where the Duchess delivered her first speech in the UK after leaving the royal family.
It was previously reported that the Duke and Duchess would be travelling to Scotland, but the plans for Meghan have now changed. She will remain in London, but could possibly join Harry at Balmoral at a later date.
Earlier today Buckingham Palace released a statement about the Queen. It read: "Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."
Many of the top royals have arrived at Balmoral already, with some arriving by helicopter including Princess Anne. Prince Edward, his wife Sophie and Prince Andrew joined Prince William on a private jet which arrived at Aberdeen Airport this afternoon. The four royals are now on their way to Balmoral by car.
