Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were joined by Omid Scobie on Wednesday's This Morning to discuss Prince Harry's upcoming return to the UK for his father King Charles' Coronation.
Harry is expected to arrive in the UK this week ahead of the state occasion but will attend alone without his wife Meghan Markle or their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
Speaking about the Duke of Sussex attending the Coronation, Omid said: "There was never any question about whether he would want to come or not, it was a question at one point of whether he would be invited.
"From what I understand, the Sussexes had to wait some time to get that confirmation that they were 100 percent welcome at this event. Of course this all follows the release of Spare but, for Harry there was no question about it."
There is a "serious constitutional" reason for him to attend argued Omid and Harry "still takes this seriously" despite stepping down as a working member of the Royal Family.
Omid added: "So much can happen over time and I don't think he'd want to look back and regret not being here for that moment."
The royal biography went on to discuss Harry's contact with his father ahead of the Coronation.
Omid claimed: "This is the first time Harry sees his family face-to-face since the release of Spare but I don't think people know that there has been somewhat regular pattern of conversation between him and his father since the release of that book.
"Now, have they discussed the details and the points that he wanted to go into? From what I hear, no but he has had contact with his dad and of course, there have been some negative moments with the loss of Frogmore Cottage, they lose they keys to that any week now.
"He would have spoken to his father about that but he also discussed his attendance at the Coronation with his dad and made it clear he wanted to be apart of it, which I think was really well received."
He added: "It's interesting to compare that with where William and Harry are, which is in the exact same place as where we last saw them."
Holly asked: "No contact?" To which Omid replied: "There's been minimal contact since the funeral."
