Megan Thee Stallion has been told to stay away from social media as vile trolls responded angrily to the verdict of her trial against Tory Lanez.
Rapper Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was found guilty of shooting her in both feet after they left a Hollywood Hills party together in 2020.
After a day of deliberation, a jury found the 30-year-old guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
He could face up to 22 years in prison for his crimes, but Megan has spent the last few years being ridiculed on social media by vile trolls.
Now a verdict has been reached, many fans are encouraging Megan to take a break from social media and "get some rest".
"Good. Now go get you some rest @theestallion. Go on vacation, don’t take your phone," one person advised the star.
"Enjoy your holiday and take a long vacation with no social media. This last two weeks have been rough as hell @theestallion," another added.

The three-time Grammy winner and hip-hop star was shot multiple times in both feet, leaving bullet fragments in her body.
She testified during the trial and said that Lanez fired a handgun at the back of her feet and shouted at her to "dance" as she walked away from the car they had been in.
After the verdict was revealed, Tory's father screamed out 'This wicked system stands judged before God almighty."
He then called the prosecutors 'evil, wicked people' before he was removed from the courtroom.
Megan has also been met with some abuse online, with many claiming she was lying, seeing an onslaught of misinformation spread about the case.
She alleged that Lanez and his team were behind the fake news about the shooting.
The WAP rapper also had to contend with trolls on social media digging up her sexual history in an effort to discredit her.
Experts said that the lack of support that Megan received stems from misogynoir - a specific type of misogyny experienced by Black women.
Tia Tyree, a professor at Howard University, described misogynoir as "contempt, dislike" or mistreatment of Black women.
As well as people on social media, Megan had to deal with fellow rappers using their platforms to tear her down.
Drake and 21 Savage mentioned her in their joint album and used lyrics to discredit her allegations.

50 Cent also posted memes which mocked her interview with Gayle King.
Another added: "So many people owe @theestallion a complete apology. Just so much reckless misinformation and reporting.
"So many of y’all stood with an abuser only to prove once again that Black women never are granted the grace, and protection that we deserve."
