Renu Dhariyal from Uttrakhand, Haldwani district has set a new Guinness World Record of having the longest hair. Her hair measures 271.5 cm (8 feet 10 inches). This achievement places her ahead of the previous record holder from Ukraine, whose hair length was just over 8 feet 5 inches.
A Record-Breaking Achievement
Renu shared one simple method of having hair so long. She stopped cutting her hair in 2015. For her, it was never simply about growing her hair long. She was inspired by the traditional view in India, where long hair is often associated with beauty, culture, and identity.
