THREE Scottish women are preparing to row across the Atlantic Ocean in a bid to break a world record while raising money for a children's charity.

Saltire Tides, made up of healthcare professionals Jenna Volpert, 29, Ellen Clark, 25, and Lauren Wilde-Arnold, 26, are aiming to complete the gruelling crossing in just 40 days – with the current record sitting at 40 days, 10 hours and 51 minutes.
