Meet the pint-sized Elvis impersonator, 10, famous for his dazzling outfits

Ben Harris always has the King of Rock ’n’ Roll on his mind.

The 10-year-old superfan has been all shook up since he first saw the star in an episode of Horrible Histories.

And now he can’t stop belting out Elvis hits – despite getting the odd Hound Dog look from his loved ones.

Ben, who recently met an Elvis lookalike in the flesh, has told his mum Rebecca, 42, and dad Ashley, 40, an air conditioning engineer, that he wants to be a full-time Elvis impersonator when he grows up.

And when he wears his white, jewel-encrusted jumpsuit – bought online as a Christmas present for £50 – the youngster certainly looks the part.

He spends hours listening to hits from the star’s back catalogue and researches facts about the legendary crooner.

Mum Rebecca says: “Ben spent most of Dec-ember doing shows for the family.

"We actually have to put a limit on how many songs he can do for us or he’d just go on and on. He loves his music, but it’s also the whole history behind it.

“If we ever get any Elvis facts wrong, we get put right very quickly.”

Ben does have other hobbies, such as football and video games, but has been to see the new Elvis film eight times.

He also hopes to one day visit the singer’s Graceland home, in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as Las Vegas, where the singer – who died in 1977 aged 42 – performed his famous residency.

Since discovering his passion for the singer, Ben’s football teammates in Wednesbury, West Mids, have started calling him Elvis.

Rebecca, an assistant office manager at a dental practice, says the family will have to save up for a trip to the US.

She says: “Ben’s really getting into Titanic now too, so goodness knows what costumes I'll be buying next.

“His brother Jacob rolls his eyes when Ben starts to sing and dance but he just doesn’t care… he’s a very confident character.

"We really broke the mould when we made Ben.”
