Meet the Liverpool lad whose goal is to 'make people happy'

A content creator said his community is "inspirational" to him and remains his driving force to "make as many people smile as possible".

Ryan Hall has been creating content on a range of social channels for a number of years as part of his 'Still Gang' brand. Ryan, 20, now follows his dreams full-time but told the ECHO his goal has always been the same - to "make people happy".

Ryan, who lives in Croxteth, might be recognisable to some for his high energy, upbeat videos in Liverpool city centre. The creator, who puts out the content on channels including TikTok, YouTube and Twitch, approaches people and asks them questions about viral crazes or simply how their day is going.

Speaking to the ECHO, Ryan said: "I had been making content for a couple of years but decided this was the moment I wanted to start doing it full-time. My content is all about energy. My motivation comes from making people smile.

"I go around asking questions - if I think someone is having a bad day I'll go up and speak with them to try and put a smile on their face.

"But there's more to me than meets the eye. With my Still Gang brand I want people to see that it's cool to be kind, it's cool to have good manners and it's cool to follow your own passions, whatever they are. If you work hard you can pursue your own dreams."

Ryan said by following his own dreams and encouraging others to do the same, he hopes to create a "boss ripple effect of energy and positivity". Through his content creation he has built a successful online community around him "from scratch". He said the people who interact with him online and consume his content are what makes him "determined to keep going".

But as important as this is for him, it's not more important than the community around him here in Merseyside. He told the ECHO: "Liverpool is so positive and I always want to rep my city. They have continued to push, support and back me with everything that I do.

"My community is important to me. I was born in Walton but now live in Croxteth. People might think there's lots of trouble but where you live is what you make of it. Where I live is amazing.

"I want people to see you don't need to hang around on the streets - you can do whatever you want with your life. Today I've already been to my boxing session and I have a yoga class this afternoon. I want to encourage people to do positive things."

Ryan comes from a big Scouse family and has three brothers and a sister. He said his biggest goal, which he said "I'm going to ensure it happens", is to earn enough money to allow his mum and dad to retire. He added: "I've seen them work so hard to provide for my family and I now want to repay the favour. There is nothing more important than family.

"I'm in this for longevity. I want to get as big a platform as possible to reach more people. I want the Still Gang to highlight as much positivity as we can."
