A Bernese Mountain Dog has become a viral sensation on TikTok - with one video garnering more than three million views, CheshireLive reports.
Beans is the star of the @bigbeans619 account on the video-sharing platform run by his owner Wesley Newton.
Wesley, 42, began posting videos during the lockdown last year "as a hobby", showing what the pair get up to during their daily lives in Nantwich, Cheshire.
This includes wandering around the nearby lake or visiting various shops and businesses in town, where the five-year-old canine gets his fill of free treats.
One video has been viewed a staggering 3.7 million times, and shows the owner of a local chip shop feeding bits of sausage to a hungry and excited Beans.
Wesley said the week since the video was posted has been "mad" with Beans getting recognised regularly on the street.
"It's gone a bit crazy this week. It's a bit overwhelming with everyone getting in touch," he said.
"But he's just so unaware and is just carrying on doing his daily thing. Walks this week have been a bit mad, stopping and starting. We must have done like 20 selfies with people."
Of the video taken at the chip shop, Coral Reef, he said: "He would go past there every day if he could but we tend to go there once every couple of weeks."
But it's not the only place in town where Beans regularly receives a warm welcome.
"He goes in the post office, most of the charity shops, the doggy café, the White Horse pub, the Wilbraham Arms, there's a little café called Ginger and Pickles and Pillory House Coffee Shop. There's loads," said Wesley.
"He's soft as anything. When we're in town, we stop at shop doorways to look in then after a while, if they're dog friendly, which most of the town is, I just say 'go on then, have a look in' and I'd follow him around.
"It got to the point when he'd just go up to the people who worked there and look at them. If they didn't have biscuits that time, they'd get them for the next time he visited.
"He's got about 12 or 14 shops he goes into now and they all give him treats. Normally I like to take him around the lake but he wants to go to town all the time now."
Wesley opened the TikTok account last year after a friend suggested the idea to him, saying it was a popular thing for users to do.
"It was during the lockdown last year. I didn't really get into TikTok when it first started because I thought it was just all about kids dancing," he said.
"My mate suggested it to me and told me people put their animals on there - their day-to-day lives, what they get up to.
"I thought I'd give it a go. I enjoy it myself because for me it's making memories. In the years to come when he's not around I can look back on these to see all the adventures we've gone on.
"I never expected it to become this. It was just to pass the time as a bit of a hobby."
Beans was taken in by Wesley fours years ago when aged one, during an emotional time for the Nantwich man.
He said: "He means the world to me because he came at a time when I had just lost my Bulldog to cancer. A week later I was asked to rehome Beans.
"I was a bit unsure at first because it was quite soon after but, looking back, it's the best thing I've ever done. We kind of saved each other really."
The pair often take part in Woof Mudder, held at Dorfold Hall in Nantwich every year (the Tough Mudder for dogs and owners).
Following Beans' success on TikTok, the organisers got in touch with Wesley and have asked Beans to be the face of this year's event, which takes place in May.
