Meet the 2022 LeicestershireLive Business Awards manufacturing, property & construction and professional services finalists

Today we continue our run-down of finalists in the 2022 LeicestershireLive Business Awards – looking at the manufacturing, property & construction and professional services businesses of the year.

The list includes some of the most prominent businesses out there – from the UK’s biggest housebuilder to a RIBA certified architecture practice and a designer kitchen firm.

The winners of this year’s awards – headline sponsored by Freeths commercial law firm and the University of Leicester – will be announced at a black tie ceremony at the King Power Stadium on Thursday, October 13, 2022. For ticket details click here.

When it comes to all three categories Leicester and Leicestershire are in a field of their own for the quality and scale of the businesses involved in.

Think about manufacturing and you can list Cofresh, Pukka Pies, Samworth Brothers (one of this year’s awards sponsors), Caterpillar, Walkers and finalist Triumph Motorcycles.

Last year the millionth Triumph motorbike since the relaunch of the brand in 1990 rolled off the production line.

The one-off, custom painted Tiger 900 Rally Pro was officially unveiled at the bike builder’s global headquarters in Hinckley – with a livery harking back to the very first Triumph in 1902.

The business is up against Loughborough’s deVOL Kitchens and Coalville-based Quarry Manufacturing and Supplies Ltd.

When it comes to property & construction, the regional list stretches from William Davis Homes to Jelsons, Davidsons Homes and David Wilson Homes, through to finalists Barratt, IMA and Complete Detection Systems Ltd.

Professional services firms which call Leicestershire their home include Global Payments (another awards sponsor) to Pick Everard, PPL PRS, Go Inspire Group, Cambridge and Counties Bank and Hinckley and Rugby Building Society.

LeicestershireLive editor Adam Moss said: “We are honoured to be running such a prestigious awards which recognise the hard work, dedication and talent that goes into putting Leicestershire at the very heart of UK Plc.

“These are also the businesses that are helping ensure our country’s economic success in these difficult times.”
