An Edinburgh pair are thought to be the Scotland's 'oldest married couple' after recently celebrating their 79th anniversary.
John and Catherine Ronxin, 97 and 98, are long-standing residents of South Queensferry, after moving there shortly after the Second World War.
Joint at the hip for almost eighty years, the couple are thought by their children to be the oldest married couple in the city, if not Scotland.

Now parents to six children, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, John and Catherine first set eyes on each other during the war, when they were both staying near Inverness.
With John, originally from Edinburgh, working at an RAF base in Catherine's home town of Invergordon, the pair quickly set eyes on each other, and were married at just 19-years-old.
Describing the affair as a "quick dash to the Inverness registry office", the pair were one of many to tie the knot during the war, and remained there until it ended in 1945.
With Catherine quickly having their first of six children, the family then moved back down to South Queensferry where John got a job working at Turnhouse, now known as Edinburgh Airport.
From there, the pair stayed in Edinburgh and are still living in the area, with their daughter, Susan Reid, sharing that they have always been "more than content" with married life .
Susan said: "She had two sons and three daughters, two of the sons have gone now. She had my sister, who is the youngest, 13 years after me, so she was a surprise.

"I think in those days, people didn't 'want it all' like they do now, people like my mum and dad were just happy with their lot and they were never unsettled.
"He always had a good job and people didn't split up in the same way in that generation, my mum, she was a soft touch and was just content. Nowadays you might not get that."
Recently celebrating their 79th anniversary, the Ronxin's received a card from the Queen, and are looking forward to their 80th wedding anniversary next year.
With Catherine recently moving into a care home to look after her dementia, Susan is hoping to get official confirmation that her parents are the longest married couple in Scotland.
She added: "I had emailed the registry office but they said they don't have a database for it, so they've sent me onto the national statistics office and they may be able to track it down.
"There was a couple in Wales not long ago who had made it to 81 years, and they were the oldest in the UK, so it would be good to find out."
