Meet Ant and Dec's biggest fan who makes custom clothes plastered with their faces

Meet Heidi Sargent - possibly the biggest Ant & Dec fan in the world.

The 23-year-old is so devoted to the Geordie duo that she designs custom outfits with their faces on. She has a wardrobe full of jackets, dresses, hoodies, T-shirts and trainers which she has had created.

The NHS nurse also has an Ant & Dec duvet cover, cardboard cut outs of them and a cupboard full of mugs containing selfies of her with them.

That is, in addition, to the huge collection of Ant & Dec books, CDs and DVDs which she owns.

Heidi, who also creates her own Ant & Dec artwork, said: "Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Ant & Dec, in actual fact I never stop talking about them!"

On multiple occasions, Heidi has waited hours to meet the TV presenters, who both grew up in Newcastle.

Her longest wait to see the pair was 12 hours at Saturday Night Takeaway in April this year. She said her eye-catching outfits mean that they now recognise her.

She said: "When you meet them they are so genuine and so thankful for the fans which I love. I normally queue for about 10-12ish hours to ensure I have best chance of getting in to see them.

"I’ve got a wardrobe full of T-shirts, hoodies, memory dresses and jackets which I’ve designed. Ant & Dec loved them, they wore one of the jackets on the Britain's Got Talent stage this year.

"At the BAFTA’s red carpet on Sunday, Dec recognised me, pointed and waved at me.

"It’s crazy because you never think you will meet your idols let alone them start to recognise you and point you out in a crowd!"

Heidi, who lives in Northampton, said she has been watching Ant & Dec's shows, which include Britain's Got Talent, Saturday Night Takeaway and I'm a Celebrity, for as long as she can remember.

She said: "I remember always asking if anyone I knew was talented and would audition (for Britain's Got Talent) so I could stand in the wings with Ant and Dec.

"Then in secondary school a friend told me about a show called Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and I was hooked on it from minutes into the show!"

Heidi said the presenters helped to provide her with comfort when her sister unexpectedly fell ill in 2016.

She said she would watch their shows when she felt upset and they would help her to see some positivity during such a difficult time.

Heidi said: "I would watch Ant & Dec programmes when I felt upset and they never failed to make me smile and giggle. I will forever be grateful to Ant and Dec for this!

"They are really great at putting smiles on people’s faces and get them laughing even during difficult times - that is incredible. I wish that was a skill that I had."

Heidi said she was "heartbroken" when she heard the news, earlier this week, that next year's Saturday Night Takeaway would be the last for a while as Ant & Dec were taking a break from the show.

She said: "I cried at the news! It’s my favourite show of all time and I always get sad every year when the series finishes as it's such a feel good and interactive show.

"But I totally understand that they need a break, they do work phenomenally hard with all their shows. I will be patiently waiting for its return and will be eagerly watching as soon as it does!"

Heidi said that her family and friends support her being a super fan of Ant & Dec.

She said: "They are okay about it because they know how much Ant & Dec means to me. They know seeing them makes me happy and that is the most important thing in life.

"However they do sometimes think I’m a bit crazy for sitting for hours in all kinds of weather to see them.

"And my family did think I took the poster competition for tickets to the Disney finale of Saturday Night Takeaway a bit far when I covered all the front windows of my parents house whilst they were at work with displays to try and get a golden boarding pass.

"It was safe to say they were not to impressed with the new decor!"

Heidi is also a big fan of TV presenter Stephen Mulhern, who appears on Saturday Night Takeaway alongside Ant & Dec. She said she hopes she has triplets in the future so she can name them after the trio.

When asked if she believes she is Ant and Dec's biggest fan, she replied: "I honestly don’t know, l would like to say yes but who knows there could be someone else out there!

"I have met many Ant & Dec fans who have been to plenty of shows and are also massive fans. I just show my love for them in a unique way with my custom outfits.

"I idolise Ant & Dec and they hold a very special place in my heart."

Heidi said her favourite piece of memorabilia is her jacket that Ant & Dec wore on Britain's Got Talent.

She said: "It makes me feel like I’m right back there meeting them again with my heart pounding 10 to the dozen out of my chest and so much excitement I’m shaking."

But does she have a favourite out of Ant & Dec?

Heidi said: "It’s impossible to choose a favourite between them!"
