A woman has told how doctors missed her rare cancer three times. Sarah-Jayne Wilson only learned she was fighting the disease thanks to a private physiotherapist months after first consulting a GP.
The 27-year-old, from Nuneaton, was told she had tendonitis and two sporting injuries before discovering the heartbreaking truth. For the pain was in fact Ewing's Sarcoma - a cancer affecting less than 100 people a year in the UK and Ireland and mainly found in children.
Now Sarah-Jayne is facing a tough regime of intensive chemotherapy. And once that is over she must undergo surgery to replace her knee and part of her tibia.
