The Betfred Media Tipping League has thrown up some left-field predictions ahead of the 2023 Super League season.
Ninety-six journalists and those involved with the sport have taken part in the annual competition, based on weekly results, who will face the dreaded drop and who they think will lift the trophy at Old Trafford in October.
To lift the league leaders' shield come the end of the regular season, four teams have been chosen as potential league leaders. Those are Huddersfield Giants, Leeds Rhinos, St Helens and Wigan Warriors. The Rhinos tip took a beating on Thursday night as last year's grand finalists were dismantled by Warrington Wolves.

At the other end of the table, again, four were picked to finish bottom of the pile in 2023. Leigh Leopards and Wakefield Trinity were the most popular, with 20 and 70 votes, respectively. However, two big calls have been made, with Salford Red Devils and Hull KR also getting voted to be relegated. Two people think Willie Peters' Robins will go down, with a sole voter for the Red Devils.
