A large beach, three inflatable children's pools and water slides will open at an AquaSplash water park at Meadowhall in Sheffield - roughly an hour's drive from Nottingham - for a six-week stay over the summer. And the fun doesn't stop there.
With an epic line-up of rides to get the heart racing, thrill seekers can take a spin on a rollercoaster, carousel and helter-skelter at a new theme park, that'll also play host to classic fairground attractions including the Waltzers and dodgems.
Launching in July, the Sheffield centre’s Orange Car Park will be transformed into a celebration of summertime, providing a spot to relax and play with friends and family, reports YorkshireLive. With a 1,000sqm beach, the theme park and AquaPark, customers can also enjoy a number of street food stalls.

Visitors can unwind at the Beach Retreat whilst sipping on refreshing summer cocktails, mocktails, and ice-cold beers, enjoying regular entertainment acts and live music. Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming the Summer Beach Club this July.
"Summer is a fantastic time of year at Meadowhall, and we cannot wait to see family and friends coming together at the centre to relax with a drink and a bite to eat or join in the fun on the water slides and fun fair. This experience is just one of a host of ways you can enjoy a summer day out at Meadowhall – with more events and offers to be announced in the coming weeks.”
From 1pm to 4pm each day, the Summer Fun Squad will be hosting daily themed party games and entertainment for children to enjoy, from foam parties and balloon modelling to mini discos and much more.
Entry will cost from £2.50 per person for all day access to the beach area and entertainment. Additional costs apply. For more information about the Summer Beach Club at Meadowhall, including a link to book tickets, visit the website, here.
