McVitie's new chocolate digestive flavour that's 'begging to be dunked'

They are quite possibly the perfect biscuit - the milk chocolate digestive.

For 100 years, McVitie's digestives fans have been reaching for the humble treat to go with their brew. Now fans are in for a new and delicious treat as the biscuit giant has unveiled a new flavour to its range - White Chocolate Digestives.

As of today, July 10, a pack of 15 White Chocolate Digestives can be picked up at Sainsbury's stores for £1.89. Don't worry if that supermarket isn't your go to, as the sweet treats will also be stocked in Morrisons, Tesco, Aldi and Co-op.

It's been almost 20 years since the White Chocolate digestive was available, having last been released by McVitie's in the mid-2000s. Being released this time as part of the brand's 100th anniversary , it's understood the flavour will become a permanent addition to the collection - joining the likes of Dark Chocolate, Double Chocolate, and Caramel, report the Mirror.

The news has been welcomed by biscuit fans. On Twitter, on person said: "White chocolate digestives?? Best day ever."
Another said: " @McVities are doing white chocolate digestives. I can't wait to open the fridge and see them looking lovingly at me, begging to be dunked in a latte."

Another Twitter user simple said: "Digestives White Chocolate" followed by three drooling emojis.

"Knowing how much people love white chocolate and having new sweet treats to try, we couldn't wait to make this highly anticipated addition to the Digestives family."
