McInnes admission on Kim Min-su Rangers transfer and 'one or two others'

Derek McInnes has admitted Rangers are close to signing Girona winger Kim Min-su - as well as "one or two others."

It has already been reported the Ibrox club are close to sealing an £8.5million deal for the South Korean wide player, who could come into contention to face Aberdeen on Sunday if it can be wrapped up quickly enough.

McInnes admitted the club had been working hard on closing on the 20-year-old and were getting close with it.

A £9m deal has also been agreed with Portland Timbers for their striker Kevin Kelsy. The manager wouldn't be drawn on that name, but did say he hoped a couple of other signings would get over the line.

He said: "We're close to one, Min-su we've been really active on. We can’t announce anything at the minute, but it wouldn’t be a million miles away to suggest that hopefully that one happens for us.

"We’re still working on one or two other things. The sooner we get them in, the better. But the club are working hard to try and deliver the players that we require for the season ahead.

On whether any new additions will be able to feature on Sunday, he added: "Well, we haven’t signed them yet. We are still working hard to try and make a couple of signings.

"I think that maybe if we can get things resolved over the next 24 hours, 48 hours with any signing, then they might have a chance for the game on Sunday. But I need to leave that to the people at the club who are working hard to try and get deals done, which, as we’ve seen, isn’t always easy.

"But our focus is just on this game tomorrow night and we’ll see where we stand going into Sunday’s game."
