NHS staff have been able to enjoy a 20 percent discount at fast food giant McDonald's since last year. However, the deal will end on December 31, 2022.
McDonalds announced in July last year they were thanking anyone working in emergency services, including the NHS, police, fire, social care sector and armed forces with the discount through the app. Steve Bater, spokesman at NHS Money Saving blog NHS Discount Offers, said: "The McDonald's 20 percent offer really has been one of the most popular discounts for NHS staff to take advantage of in recent years and it's a real shame its scheduled to end on December 31.
"The UK still faces challenging times and it's great that McDonald's can still bring a few money-saving smiles where they can to NHS staff. It's been a fantastic offer and staff members can really be a bit savvy with their money and get 20 percent off their McDonald's orders through the app. Every little helps as we look to save money wherever we can and it's been a really kind gesture from McDonald's."
