McDonald's has cut the price of its McPlant burger today, but only for customers who use its My McDonald's app.
The fast food chain's vegan option, the McPlant burger, will cost £1.39, 70% less than its usual cost. The burger, which was first introduced in 2022, consists of a Beyond Meat patty, vegan sandewich sauce, ketchup, mustard, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato and a vegan cheese alternative with a toasted sesame seed bun.
To claim a discount, download the My McDonald's app and head to the "offers" section to add the discount to your order. Once you have added this, you can pick which McDonald's restaurant you would like to collect your meal from, the Mirror reports.

You must also decide what payment method you would like to use when you arrive to pick up your order. Alongside being offered discounts, you can collect and earn points when ordering through the McDonald's app and opting into My McDonald's Rewards.
The scheme gives you one reward point for every penny spent, meaning you will get 139 for today's McPlant offer. You can download the My McDonald's app for free on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
The offer comes weeks after McDonald's launched its Winning Sips campaign, which gives customers the chance to win free food, merch or £100,000 in cash. It started on March 29 and works in a similar way to the chain's Monopoly game.
The game sees customers peel off stickers on drinks to see if they have won an instant prize or a code they can put into the app. Players are limited to entering eight codes into the app and must be over 18 to play.
