McDonald's slash price of popular burger by £2.90 for one day only

McDonald’s has lowered the price of one of its most popular menu items so that customers can snap up a cheap lunch or dinner this Bank Holiday Monday. For one day only, the fast food restaurant has slashed the price of its McChicken Sandwich to get the week off to a good start.

Down to £1.39, the deal - available exclusively via the McDonald’s App - will save shoppers a whopping £2.90 on the usual price.

The sandwich, which is usually £4.29, features crispy-coated chicken, layered with fresh lettuce and sandwich sauce, served on a soft, sesame-topped bun.
