McDonald's set to scrap five popular menu items this week as new additions arrive

McDonald's fans have been warned that some of their favourite offerings may not be available after this week, as a major menu shake-up is happening.

The fast food retailer often makes some swaps to its much-loved menu, and while new additions can be exciting, it often sadly means that some things have to go.

From this Wednesday, March 29, there are five menu items that are being scrapped - so if you want a final taste, you'll want to act fast before they're gone for the time being.

The Mirror reports that the Grand Big Mac, the Grand Big Mac with Bacon, Chilli Cheese bites, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, and the Galaxy Caramel will be dropping off the menu this week.

But on that same day, McDonald's will be adding a couple of new arrivals to stores that customers will be able to enjoy.

Maccies has unveiled a brand new burger - the Steakhouse Stack - for those who like their patties to be beefy. The burger will cost just £5.39 by itself or £6.99 as a meal with chips and a drink.

And a fan favourite will be returning to tickle your taste buds - the Chicken Big Mac.

News of the re-release will be music to the ears of adoring fans as they'll be able to tuck into the triple-layered bun with the two 100% chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles, and the deliciously world-famous inimitable Big Mac sauce.

Mozzarella dippers are also making a comeback, served with a salsa dip. If you've got a sweet tooth, then get prepared to taste the Easter favourites Creme Egg McFlurry and the Cadbury Caramel Egg McFlurry.

On Wednesday, Maccies is also launching Winning Sips. Customers will get the chance to make the most of their sips and slurps by winning prizes including £10,000 cash, menu favourites, and limited-edition merch including bucket hats, towels and Coca-Cola glasses when purchasing a medium or large soft drink.
