McDonald's has different menus in various countries across the world - but the one we'd all love to have is definitely from the US. Many of us know the UK menu like the back of our hand and have tried everything there is to offer, so will be very jealous when they see what's being sold in some of the 118 countries that have Maccies restaurants.
From McSpaghetti to chicken kebabs, bananas to beers, you can purchase some very strange items, but the most appealing products seem to cover from across the pond. The American chains have your favourite burgers and fries as well as some delicious and unique items we don't get over here, although it even varies from State to State.
From McLobster to Biscuits and Gravy, here is a look at some of the McDonald's menu items you can only get in the US.
McLobster
One of the classiest items McDonald's has ever produced, the McLobster was a moist sandwich filled with delicious of shellfish meat.
Served in a hot dog pun with 'lobster sauce' and shredded lettuce, this delightful offering was first introduced into restauraunts in America in 1993.
Due to supply issues and a lack of profitability nationally, the McLobster became a seasonal dish that was only available in certain States.
The lobster roll made a comeback in 20005 before making appearances every summer since 2015 in New Hampshire, New England, Maine, Massachusets, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
But the increased price of lobster per pound has put put the cost right up and made it incredibly hard for McDonald's to justify selling them.
In 2017, they also tried out a similar item, a Crab Sandwich, which was filled with snow crab meat, celery, seasoned mayonnaise and butter in a toasted bun with tomatoes.
Primarily being served in San Fransico, it was part of a push by the chain to play around with fish sandwiches due to certain groups of people not eating red meat.
Biscuits and Gravy
While the East coast loves seafood, down South they have a hankering for Biscuits and Gravy.
A number of Maccies restaurants in the Southern states sell this iconic dish - with buttery McDonald's biscuits smothered in gravy and sausage for the ultimate experience.
The combination might seem strange to people in the UK but it really is a staple in the US.
Sadly, this item has been discontinued in a number of regions and is often considered a "secret" menu item that isn't always listed.
Steak and Egg Burrito
Is it for lunch or is it for breakfast? The steak and egg burrito is the perfect combination of the two.
First bursting onto the scene in 1991, the soft white tortiall is crammed full of a number of tasty ingredients.
It's made with with fluffy scrambled eggs, steak, melty cheese, green chilis, onions, and salsa roja.
While it may seem like a great menu item to flog up and down the country, it's only been available in New York, Arizona, California and New Mexico.
It has been criticised for not having proper slice of steak inside and there have been complaints about the size, which just doesn't compare to the likes of Taco Bell or Chipotle.
Haupia Pie
This tasty treat is only served in Hawaii - and it's become a firm favourite in the Aloha state.
McDonald's take on the Haupia pie, which has also been sold in Southern California, which is a cross between a Hawaiian coconut dessert and the iconic apple pie.
It has the same addictively tasty, flakey and crispy deep-fried pie crust that's used for their apple pies.
But the sweet and creamy coconut cream filling really sets it out from anything else on the menu.
Shamrock Shake
You might expect this one to come from Ireland, but they're actually served in the US around St. Patrick's Day.
The popular sesonal milkshakes, which are usually available from February until the end of March, have been offered for a whopping 50 years.
The minty drink has a grene colour to really give it the St. Paddy's Day vibe and kick off the celebrations.
It originally had a lemone-lime sorbet flavour, but the mint version came out in 1983 and has remained ever since.
The smooth shake is made with reduced fat vanilla soft serve ice cream, whipped light cream, and McDonald's 'Shamrock Syrup', which is essentially high fructose corn syrup with mint flavoring and green dye.
Green Chile Double
McDonald's clearly think that New Mexico can handle some spicier and more extreme dishes.
Bring on the Hatch Green Chile Double burger, which is two patties along with ketchup, mustard, onions and of course diced hatch green chiles for an added kick.
These green chiles all come from Hatch in Nex Mexico and can be around as spicy as jalapenos.
But they are much more versatile as they can be added to stews, sauces, dips, sautes and salsa.
Adult Happy Meal
The sad reality is that many of us had a McDonald's Happy Meal for the last time without even realising.
But there was great news earlier this month when Maccies decided to give fans a chance to relive their childhood by launching a Happy Meal for adults.
Starting on October 3, customers in US restaurants have been able to get their hands on the smaller meals - with a Big Mac or 10 Chicken McNuggets, alongside fries, and a drink.
The limited time initiative also comes complete with a toy version of a classic character, such as Grimace, Birdie or that evil Hamburglar.
Unfortunately, McDonald's told The Mirror there are no plans to launch Happy Meals for adults in the UK.
Tariq Hassan, McDonald's USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, said in a statement: "We're taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald's experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that's hyper-relevant for our adult fans.
"I can't wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week.
"With menu favorites like the Big Mac and McNuggets at the center of this collab, this is another way we're reigniting a new generation’s love for our food and the brand."
