McDonald's is giving away free hot drinks tomorrow - here's how to claim yours

Back to work preparations are difficult enough without choosing what to have for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And with tomorrow also being a Bank Holiday, the usual options may be limited.

So, to get 2023 off on the right foot, McDonald’s is offering not one, not two, but four deals to banish the post-Christmas blues and make the ‘back to work’ preparations that bit easier.

This week customers can enjoy a range of deals, from free drinks to cheap Big Macs, as well as double points on the MyMcDonald’s app.

On Monday, January 2, shoppers can enjoy a free McCafé with the purchase of a Bacon Roll, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate or the Caramel Waffle Latte if you’re not quite ready to let go of the festive beverages.

Or, if you missed breakfast - it is a Bank Holiday after all - after 11am, the fast food chain is dishing out double points on Chicken McNuggets, giving fans bonus reward points towards a free meal.

The deals keep on coming on Tuesday, January 3, where visitors can make huge savings on breakfast and grab a Single McMuffin for only £1.19. Meanwhile, for a lunch or dinner treat, the Big Mac will be reduced to £1.49 – a huge saving of £2.40.

Customers will be able to earn points when they purchase one of these deals by opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards. The brand-new scheme means every penny spent equals one Rewards point, so this week’s offers will get you 319 points when picking up a McCafé drink, 119 points when grabbing a Single McMuffin and 149 points when purchasing a Big Mac, but a whopping 778 points when ordering Chicken McNuggets.

When customers reach 1,500 points, they can choose between menu items including small fries, a hash brown, or a side salad, or save until they reach 4,000 points, where shoppers can choose between menu favourites like six Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac. There is also an option for customers to donate the cash equivalent of their Rewards points to BBC Children in Need, FareShare and Ronald McDonald House Charities, and this festive period McDonald’s will also be issuing donations on behalf of customers.

All of these deals are exclusively available on the McDonald’s App and customers can start earning points on all orders by downloading via Google Play or the Apple App Store here .

Then, from Wednesday, there's a brand new menu item being launched, too. Fans of the McPlant will be able to get their hands on a Double McPlant in every McDonad's restaurant in the UK from January 4. The Double McPlant will cost £4.89 individually and £6.49 as part of a meal, although prices may vary on location.
