McDonald's 'hero' protected 'frightened' teens from 10-strong gang attack in town centre

A McDonald's worker has been described as a "hero" after protecting three teenagers from being attacked by a gang of 10.

The trio ran into the restaurant in Middlesbrough town centre, after being approached by the males who had followed them and attempted to beat them up.

Shift manager Rachel Dowson, who has worked in the restaurant for 14 years, stepped in to help the teenagers.
