McDonald's giving away extra points to mark World Cup win

To celebrate England’s momentous win against Senegal, McDonald’s are offering another multi-points deal for foodie fans. For one day only McDonald’s lovers can take advantage of the points bonus special.

The morning after the game before customers can pick up 300 additional Rewards points when purchasing a Bacon Roll before 11am. The soft white roll filled with bacon and a choice of ketchup or brown sauce comes with 569 points.

For an afternoon treat, customers can bag 300 extra points when picking up a McPlant. Customers can dig into the plant-based burger with 689 Rewards points added to their accounts.

The brand-new scheme means every penny spent equals one Rewards point, so this week’s offers will get you 569 Rewards points when ordering a Bacon Roll or 689 Rewards points when picking up a McPlant.

When customers reach 1,500 points, they can choose between menu items including small Fries, a Hash Brown, or a Side Salad. With 2,500 points, a Double Cheeseburger or Vegetable Deluxe is on the cards. Finally, with 4,000 points, customers can choose between menu favourites like 6 Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac.

There is also an option for fans to donate the cash equivalent of their Rewards points to FareShare and Ronald McDonald House Charities, during the World Cup. McDonald’s will also be issuing donations on behalf of fans.

Both deals are exclusively available on the McDonald’s App and customers can start earning points on all orders by downloading via Google Play or the Apple App Store here, signing up and opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards.
