McDonald's has announced a burger will be returning to its UK menu, and it's fair to say fans are excited.
The fast food giant regularly changes its menu, adding new items on a temporary basis, and switching favourites out for limited editions. Back in 2022, customers could get their hands on a McDonald's staple, with a twist.
From February 2 that year, the chicken Big Mac made its debut in UK and Ireland McDonald's restaurants.

It was joined by the double Big Mac, Mozzarella Dippers, Galaxy® chocolate McFlurry, Galaxy® salted caramel McFlurry and the Chicken Legend also returned for a spell.
The chicken Big Mac was so popular, McDonald's was forced to pull it from menus after just a week. At the time, a Facebook post from the fast food giant said: "Well, that escalated quickly. Your love for the limited edition Chicken Big Mac knew no bounds and it’s sold out almost everywhere.
"Thank you for lovin’ it even more than we thought you would, it’ll be back soon."
A spokesperson from McDonald’s said: "We have been delighted by our customers’ reaction to the limited-edition Chicken Big Mac. The demand has been incredible and we simply cannot keep up. As such we’ve made the decision to pause the promotion, let our restaurant teams and suppliers restock and get ready for its return in a few weeks."
On Tuesday, McDonald's announced the popular burger is returning from Wednesday, March 29. Captioning the post on Instagram, it said: "The best news of the year is here... THE CHICKEN BIG MAC RETURNS. 29.03 #ChickenBigMacReturns".
Fans have been quick to comment on the update. Ash said: "Buzzing with this", while Georgia said: "omg!!! Right in time for those preggo cravings" [sic].
Robert said: "YESSS", before tagging a friend and adding: "OMG IT'S COMING BACK". Cath said: "Excellent news, my best ever burger".
