Most avid McDonald's fans have heard about the secret menu items that often do the rounds, but one woman has found a hidden feature in one of the fast food chain's restaurants that has left many people perplexed.
The food tycoon recently came under fire after hungry customers claimed that their favourite burgers have shrunk, an accusation which McDonald's denies. However, one thing they aren't scrimping on is their table space, according to a new shocking revelation.
The UK-based patron discovered an unusual function on the circular tables found in McDonald's restaurants. Taking to TikTok to reveal her findings, she shared a video which shows how they can be extended to create a taller standing-desk style table or a longer table of the same height.

Posting under the social media handle @jottiesjournal, the woman was 'obsessed' with the swivelling furniture, and captioned the clip: "I was today years old when I realised McDonald's tables do this. Mind blown".
The video shows her friend in stitches while demonstrating how to extend the table by swivelling it round to reveal another one underneath.
She then lifted the top table to reveal a heightened version that left the duo with one shorter table and another slightly taller option.
Eager for more space to enjoy their McDonald's meal, the TikTok poster revealed in the comments that she only found the trick after being "all squished on one [table]".
She also claimed: "They have been in my store for years and I never realised".
Hundreds of people shared their disbelief in the comments, with one person declaring that they will be 'skipping' off to their local branch to give it a go.
One person wrote "well I’ve just learned something new" while another said "I never knew this!".
Others praised the surprise table function for different reasons, with one commenter sharing: "We have these on France too and it's super useful when you're disabled because you can move the table to transfer easily on the seat".
Another claimed that the swivelling table is actually designed to maintain hygiene standards: "The reason we have them like that is so we can lift it up as u did to clean underneath so its sanatised [sic]".
A handful of TikTok users questioned whether the swivelling tables were available in all stores, or just a select few, but the video creator confirmed that the clip was taken in the UK.
One person bragged that they already knew all about this handy trick, by saying: "is it just me that's always done this".
The woman who filmed the video replied, joking that the commenter might just be the only person who was privy to the mystery hack. She replied 'Maaaybe [sic]' with two laughing emojis.
