MUMBAI: The Mumbai Cricket Association had decided not to consider a proposal from DreamSetGo and Cutting Edge for seats at Level 2 of the Vithal Divecha Pavilion of the Wankhede Stadium, as those seats, as per a 2013 AGM resolution, are reserved for the around 340 member clubs of the MCA for international and IPL matches.
Both the firms had offered Rs 50 crore to buy 529 seats, three boxes of 18 seats each along with the foyer area in a 10-year arrangement. "Divecha Pavalion Level 2 seats are provided to affiliated clubs for all the international and IPL matches. The 79th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on March 22, 2013 unanimously passed the following resolution: 'The members would get a minimum of 10 tickets during the IPL matches, including two of MCA Pavalion and two of the Vithal Divecha Stand Level 2,'" a source told TOI.
