Another Bank Holiday weekend is upon us.
While Met Eireann has forecast that it might not be the sunniest weekend, many will be enjoying some well-earned time off for the weekend. With that, many people might be heading to do a big shop with some time off.
But there is one major downside to Bank Holidays and that’s changes in supermarket hours. Here are the opening hours for all the major supermarkets throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.

Lidl
Lidl is consistent with its opening hours, with the store opening from 8am to 10pm Monday through to Saturday and then from 9am until 9pm on Sunday. While it may vary from store to store, Bank Holiday opening hours are generally the same as Monday.
Aldi
Much the same as Lidl, the German supermarket chain is rarely shut. The hours are the same as that of Lidl, with the store opening from 8am to 10pm Monday through to Saturday and then from 9am until 9pm on Sunday. The Monday hours are also the same.
Aldi also recently introduced autism-friendly hours for shoppers.
Dunnes Stores
Dunnes Stores is also open throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, however, it is worth noting that some shops may operate at different times throughout the weekend.
For the most part, Dunnes Stores shops are open from 7am until 10pm Friday and Saturday, then on Sunday from 8am until 10pm and on Monday from 9am until 9pm.
Tesco
The majority of Tesco stores across Ireland will open at 9am on Monday and will close at 8pm. However, on normal days the hours generally remain unaffected, with stores open from 8am to 10pm.

SuperValu
Lastly, SuperValu tends to differ from store to store, but generally, the shops are open from 8am to 10pm.
