From depositing Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)/Tax Collected at Source (TCS) for April 2026 to issuing certificates and filing key statements, multiple due dates are lined up throughout the month. In May 2026, there are also specific requirements under the Income-tax Act, 2025, including declarations and challan-cum-statements, which need timely attention because of deadlines. May 7, 2026 deadline for TDS/TCS
It is the deadline for depositing the tax that was withheld or collected in April 2026. As per the Income Tax Department’s website, all sums deducted/collected by an office of the government shall be paid to the credit of the central government on the same day when tax is paid without the production of a challan.
May 7 is also the deadline for a declaration under Section 394(2) of the Income-tax Act 2025 to be made by a buyer for obtaining goods without the collection of tax in the month of April 2026.
May 15, 2026 (Friday)TDS/TCS
It is the due date for the issuance of a TDS certificate for tax deducted under Sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M and (Income-tax Act, 1961) in the month of March 2026.
May 15 is also the due date for submitting Form 24G (Income-tax Rules, 1962) by a government agency where TDS/TCS for the month of April 2026 was paid without the presentation of a challan.
May 15 is also deadline for other income tax forms
May 15 is also a due date for a monthly statement in the prescribed form by a stock exchange in respect of transactions in which client codes were changed after registration in the system for the month of April 2026.
May 15 is also a due date for the quarterly statement of TCS deposited for the quarter ending March 31, 2026.
It is also a due date for providing a statement by a recognised association in respect of transactions in which client codes were amended after enrolling in the system for the month of April 2026.
May 30, 2026 deadline for TDS/TCS
May 30 is a deadline for the issuance of TCS certificates for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26.
May 30 is also a due date for submitting information required by Section 285B of the Income-tax Act 1961 for the prior year 2025-26.
May 30 is also a deadline for the challan-cum-statement of tax deduction under Section 393(1) of the Income-tax Act, 2025.
