Maxx Crosby signed a huge contract two years to the day he became sober and everyone was so happy for him

No matter what team you root for, you really can’t help but be happy for the Raiders’ Maxx Crosby right now.

He just signed a four-year, $95 million extension with the Raiders that will keep the defensive end in Las Vegas for the foreseeable future, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. That’s a pretty cool thing. But that’s not the kicker here.

The best part about all of this is that March 11, 2020 was the day that Crosby became sober. He’d embarked on a journey to battle his alcohol addiction on that day.

He actually got a tattoo to commemorate the day. He posted it to Twitter to share his journey with everyone.

Now, two seasons later to the day, here he is signing a new contract for big money with the Raiders.

That is quite the journey, indeed. What an awesome story. Everyone was so happy for Crosby.
