Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign a new goalkeeper, central midfielder and striker at Chelsea - if he is appointed. football.london understands Pochettino has held positive talks with the Blues despite an agreement not having been reached - yet.
Reports have suggested that Todd Boehly will make a final decision on Chelsea's next manager this week with Pochettino currently favourite to be in the dugout at Stamford Bridge next season. Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter were both sacked this season following a poor run of results, with Frank Lampard now acting as caretaker boss until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
There are over 30 players in the senior squad at present following Boehly's £600million spending spree in the last two transfer windows. Pochettino will want to bring in some of his own signings this summer - if he takes the job at Chelsea - but he may have to wait until current players are sold before he can do so.
