Mauricio Pochettino has taken to social media for the first time in weeks to give an announcement on plans for the coming weeks. He was confirmed as the new Chelsea boss at the end of May with an official statement made just one day after the final Premier League games of the season.
The 51-year-old won't start his role until July 1 but is already preparing for action after more than one month of talks with the club over becoming the third permanent head coach in a year under the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital axis. With a busy summer of business ahead, no time is being spared.
Pochettino is yet to speak to the fans of his new club as media commitments are put on the backburner whilst he gets to work on the mountain of transfer demands laid at his desk. Ahead of the pre-season tour of America in July, Pochettino could see more than 15 members of his first team squad sold as a mass clearout from the club dominates the demands.
