Maura Higgins has reportedly billed the designer responsible for the 'inappropriate dress' she couldn't wear to the British Fashion Awards.
The former Love Island star, 32, is said to have charged designer Scott Henshall over £12,000 for 'loss of earnings' after she pulled out of the prestigious event at the last minute earlier this month.
Dubbing the situation a 'nightmare' minutes before she was due to walk the red carpet on December 6, Maura said that she'd had 'zero control' over her custom-made gown as she took to her Instagram Stories to show fans the dress designed by Scott.
"I don't really know what to say, it's like, I just feel it's not very appropriate for the Fashion Awards," the reality TV star said of the low-cut dress - going on to explain how she had decided to be a no-show at the event.
It's now been reported Maura has billed the former creative director of Mulberry £12,810.72 for 'loss of earnings', with the fee also including the star's £675.60 hairstyling bill.
"It's turned into a complete disaster. Scott's PR team arranged for him to dress Maura and he agreed to pay for her ticket to the ceremony after seeing a pretty picture of her," a source has claimed to MailOnline.
"But now his generosity has totally backfired and she's even trying to charge him for hairstyling when she insisted on having her own glam squad on the day."
The Mirror has approached a representative for Maura for comment on this story.
While she was getting ready for the British Fashion Awards earlier this month, Maura told her Instagram followers: "BFA tonight... first time to have zero control on my outfit... excited to see what @scott_henshall has designed for me."
Designer Scott Henshall, who has dressed the likes of Jodie Kidd, Kelly Holmes, and Lady Victoria Hervey, reshared the post on his own Instagram Stories with a heart emoji.
But things turned sour later in the day when Maura returned online to let her fans know she wouldn't be walking the red carpet at the star-studded event.
Looking ready to party in a very low-cut strappy silver dress with a full face of makeup, Maura admitted: "I've had a bit of a nightmare. So obviously you can see I am fully ready. Glam team are on point as usual. Basically.... the dress, the shoes, everything wasn't something I'd wear.
"I don't really know what to say, it's like, I just feel it's not very appropriate for the Fashion Awards.
"I obviously do like to go daring, you guys know that, but I just feel, I don't know. It's just not right. So yeah, I've decided not to go. I'm still in the hotel as you can see."
Sources close to the star went on to claim Scott's outfit didn't fit the brief and she was 'disappointed' after asking for her ensemble to resemble Paris Hilton's 2002 chainmail dress.
Scott is known in the industry for his eye-catching creations and celebrities often flash some skin when wearing one of his designs on the red carpet.
The designer is the man behind Samantha Mumba's diamond web dress, which became known as the World's Most Expensive Dress, costing an incredible £5million, and is now on display at the Natural History Museum
Samantha wore the gown encrusted in £1 million worth of diamonds in 2004.
