Mattel stacks the deck with UNO on Fortnite and Roblox

Mattel is bringing its iconic card game into the metaverse, launching its first official UNO experiences across Fortnite and Roblox as part of a broader push into creator-driven platforms.

Developed under Mattel Digital Studios, these two distinct experiences were built with leading partners. The company teamed up with Look North World to create UNO Royale using Unreal Editor for Fortnite

The experience blends classic UNO mechanics with a familiar Fortnite environment, adding collectible loadout cards, customizable loadout decks, and four tournament arenas where players compete for unlockable card skins. Players also receive a personal Card Dojo to showcase their themed and custom designs, with tournaments scaling in size and rewards.

Players can enter the island code 8269-3234-9999 in Fortnite to access the map and jump into a classic UNO match with friends.

The company also partnered with Preloaded to launch UNO: Bridge Clash on Roblox, a fast-paced team race that transforms the traditional card game into a chaotic obstacle course.

Players match cards to construct bridges toward a golden UNO card while triggering disruptive wild power-ups that can destroy paths, block rivals, and swing momentum in seconds. The objective is simple: get the golden card back to base before the opposing team. You can either play nice or sabotage the enemy to have fun.

Both games mark Mattel’s first official UNO integrations on major creator ecosystems. The company said the move reflects its strategy to extend physical play into virtual spaces and meet audiences where they already spend time.

The push builds on previous digital games by Mattel, including Masters of the Universe: He Man Heroes on Fortnite and Monster High on Roblox, as well as Barbie Dreamhouse Tycoon, which has surpassed 500 million visits in the past.
