The Jets can cross a name of their emergency quarterback list. Retired quarterback and CBS NFL analyst Matt Ryan was recently asked about the quarterback situation for the New York Jets and if he would consider joining the team if they were to ask him.
Matty Ice made it pretty clear: Thanks, but no thanks. “I got no interest in doing that right now,” Ryan said during an appearance on CBS Sports Network.

This comes following a report from FOX Sports; Jay Glazer that Ryan and free-agent quarterback Carson Wentz both expressed interest in joining the Jets but neither was approached by the team.
All this comes after another disaster of a start for Zach Wilson, putting the Jets in a very difficult position of trying to scramble to save a season that began with so much promise. The team is now 1-2 following a 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots and with games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles looming in the next three weeks.
The Jets have to figure out something at quarterback. But we know now it won’t be Matt Ryan.
