Gotham City will be rife with plenty of familiar faces when the Dark Knight returns in The Batman Part II, but now we can confirm there will also be some familiar sounds with Robert Pattinson’s second run as the Caped Crusader, too.
In an interview with Screen Rant, composer of The Batman, Michael Giacchino, explained that he felt pretty confident he’d be back to settle the score for director Matt Reeves’ take on Batman just as he did in 2022. "I don’t think there’s a world where Matt Reeves would allow me not to be involved. He and I are such good friends, and I love working with Matt more than anybody; he’s the greatest.” Thankfully, Reeves was quick to respond on X to confirm that their work relationship would indeed continue, reposting the article with “100%” followed by three bat emojis (aww).

Well, sure, it's a nice tweet and all, but is it getting down on one knee and asking with Godzilla present, Matt? Is it?!
This would mark the sixth time Giacchino and Reeves have collaborated on a project, with their first team-up dating back to 2008, on the director’s breakthrough gig, Cloverfield. Giacchino’s contribution to Reeves’ run as Gotham’s legendary protector earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Score Soundtrack and had fans walking through the rain all sulky for quite some time after the film’s release.
It’ll be interesting to see (well, hear) what kind of music Giacchino will conjure up for the new characters that might be appearing in The Batman Part II, considering the long-standing rumors of Harvey Dent playing a part in the new film. Other fresh blood getting caught in the crime and cape activity will be Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Tyree Henry and Charles Dance. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell will also be back for round two.
