Matt Hancock looks set to be right at the centre of a huge voting upset on I’m A Celebrity as experts are now tipping him NOT to be the first star given the boot from the jungle by viewers.
Before the new series of the hit ITV show had even started, the ex Health Secretary saw his. aye linked to a stint Down Under with producers said to be rubbing their hands with delight at securing a “sensational booking.” The rumours of Matt doing I’m A Celebrity proved to be bang on as, just hours after reports surfaced, he was pictured arriving at Brisbane Airport, before going into isolation ready to go into camp as a late arrival, alongside controversial Strictly star Seann Walsh.
Viewers, many appalled that Matt had been given the chance to be a part of one of British TV’s biggest shows, made sure that his early days in the jungle were unforgettable for all the wrong reasons, voting for him to do five Bushtucker Trials in a row. But, just as he was tipped to break a record for the most trials done by one celeb during their time on the show, he was given an unexpected reprieve earlier this week.

And, now bookies reckon the public are warming to the man who resigned from his profile Government job after being captured cheating on his wife in a Downing Street office. William Hill think the tide has turned so much in Matt’s favour that he now isn’t a dead cert to be the first campmate eliminated, with his odds now drifting to 4/1 as Loose Women host Charlene White is the hot top to go first on 11/10.
The apparent growth of support for Matt has also seen the odds on him winning adjusted, with him now fourth favourite to bag the jungle crown on 7/1, behind Mike Tindall, Owen Warner and overwhelming favourite for victory, Jill Scott.
