The Steelers made a key coaching change on Tuesday, firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada despite the team’s winning record. Canada, who had been with the organization since 2020, had been on the job since 2021, but Pittsburgh’s offense never seemed to improve in that span.
The Steelers are the only team in the NFL to be outgained in every game this season and have not surpassed 400 yards since Canada took over in 2021. While the team finally decided to make the change now, fans have been begging them to bring in a new offensive coordinator since last year, so they were very excited when the news broke.
