Matt Baker has spoken out on the heartbreaking pain of losing a pet, following the death of his own dog Bob, whom he paid tribute to earlier this year.
The Countryfile star recently told the Radio Times that the death of his border collie “took a lot to get over”, as Bob had been with him for “the major moments” in his life.
In May, the 48-year-old posted a touching montage of photos and clips on his Instagram in memory of Bob, whom he praised as the “ultimate companion”. He explained that Bob died last year, but he had been unable to talk about it as he’s been “incredibly sad”.
“It’s broken my heart, but I feel hugely grateful to have had him in our lives, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart for everything he’s taught me and brought to our family,” he wrote.
