Wolves forward Matheus Cunha has teased a potential transfer to Manchester United after liking an Instagram comment suggesting he should join the Old Trafford club.
Sitting 19th in the Premier League table, fresh off the back of sacking manager Gary O’Neil, things seem to be going from bad to worse for Wolves, with star forward Matheus Cunha now teasing a potential exit from Molineux.
Cunha has been in fine form this season, despite his side sitting in the relegation zone, notching eight goals and three assists for the Old Gold across 16 appearances in the English top-flight.
His form has, unsurprisingly, garnered interest from members of the ‘Big Six’. Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been linked with the 25-year-old, and so have Newcastle and Aston Villa, while his former club Atletico Madrid are also said to be plotting a swoop to re-sign the forward.
But the Brazilian himself has seemingly added fuel to the fire in terms of the transfer debate by liking an Instagram comment under his post suggesting that he should join Ruben Amorim and co. at Old Trafford.
The comment read: “Manchester United soon,” which was liked by Cunha, as seen in the screenshot below.

It took Red Devils fans a few days to spot the comment and the like, but since catching wind of it on Wednesday morning, screenshots have spread like wildfire across social media.
Wolves fans have been quick to point out though, that Cunha simply could’ve liked the comment as the West Midlands club face off against Manchester United on Boxing Day, a game for which he will potentially be suspended.
The Brazil international has been charged with misconduct by the FA due to his alleged involvement in a melee following the 2-1 defeat to Ipswich last time out, and the length of his potential ban is yet to have been revealed.
Regardless, if Wolves are relegated come the end of the campaign, which the UK’s best football betting sites have them among the favourites to do so, keeping hold of Cunha will surely become impossible for the Midlanders.
