Jesse Marsch faces the media on Thursday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United head coach will take questions from television, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of the Manchester City clash next Wednesday.
Here is a run-down of some of the main topics on the agenda for the American to address at the training ground today.
Why there were 11 players missing last night
Jesse Marsch mercifully saves journalists the time and effort of wasting a question on injuries by getting it all out of the way in an opening gambit. Last night, while the Whites were losing 4-2 to Monaco, there were 11 members of the squad conspicuous by their absence.

The head coach has not faced questions from the local media for two weeks. A lot has changed in that time and the public is well overdue some proper dates and breakdowns on where all of last night’s absentees are at with their recoveries.
The January outlook
When Marsch did face the local media after the Elche friendly, the questions were limited and there was nothing on the record about the transfer window. You can be sure that will be one of the driving topics of virtually every press conference between now and February 1.
What does a successful January look like to him? Which positions does he want to strengthen in? Who could be leaving?
The World Cup break
Marsch was quizzed at the end of the Spain camp, but this will be a proper opportunity to drill down into the six weeks as a whole. How he feels the team has done during the break, where he has seen improvements, what has disappointed him and whether they are ahead of where they were coming out of the Tottenham Hotspur loss.
The Klich situation
The Mateusz Klich situation remains live. Marsch was clear in not wanting to say too much about the Pole’s status after those Elche embraces, but we are another two weeks on now with the Major League Soccer interest plain to everyone.
Is he going? Does he want him to stay? Will fans get an opportunity bid him farewell properly in the City match or into January itself?
Jackson speculation
Mark Jackson, who has quickly risen through the ranks under Marsch, has recently been linked with the vacant head coach position at League One Milton Keynes Dons. After being promoted from under-23 head coach to the first-team staff, Jackson is now in charge of set-pieces and surely keen to show loyalty to Marsch.
However, Jackson will have ambitions in the game and a frontline job in the EFL is not to be sniffed at. Marsch may be able to shed some light on the latest about one of his valued staff members.
