Leading UK promotional company Matchroom Boxing are set to make a big announcement at 10am on Monday, 25 November. Matchroom took to social media on their various channels, posting a cryptic photograph which includes the Stretford End at Old Trafford and a man running down the street.
Although the announcement is fast approaching, fans are none the wiser as to what Eddie Hearn and his company have in store for their 10am announcement tomorrow.
Some fans have taken to social media to voice their opinions, stating that it could be something to do with a Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight. This is because the Chris Eubank vs Nigel Benn rematch took place at Old Trafford back in October 1993.
The home of Manchester United was packed to the rafters for the Benn vs Eubank rematch, with the pair of British boxing legends battling it out to a split draw. Now, over 30 years on, it looks like 2025 could be the year where their two sons meet in the ring once and for all.
Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn was meant to take place in 2022, but was cancelled due to Benn’s two failed performance enhancing drugs tests. Now it seems the fight is closer than ever to being made, with Old Trafford a potential destination for the Benn vs Eubank rivalry to be renewed.

Could Matchroom Boxing Announcement Be Signing Of Olympian Pat Brown?
It seems that a lot of fans think Matchroom’s announcement will be about Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn heading to Old Trafford in the summer. However, others have a strong feeling it could be Matchroom’s way of announcing a signing of an exciting British amateur who is turning professional.
Pat Brown, the 2024 GB Olympian boxer, looks to turn professional in 2025 after a stellar amateur boxing career. Brown, who won the heavyweight title at the 2021 England Boxing National Amateur Championships, hails from Manchester and is a United fan.
This photograph could well be of Brown running down the street where he grew up, right beside the Old Trafford stadium. If this is an announcement of Brown signing with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, it could be one of the best in years. Time will tell if this is the case or not.
