MasterChef viewers slam Gordon Ramsay for 'ruining' cooking show and say it's like 'The Apprentice'

MasterChef viewers have taken to social media to have their say on the latest episode of the BBC One cooking programme.

Tonight’s episode saw the four contestants become three. The four cooks had to offer an interpretation of a classical dish, with one of them being kicked out the competition.

The remaining three then had cook at Gordon Ramsay’s flagship London hotspot, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. The famous chef and TV personality guided the three amateurs as they tried to recreate some of his menu dishes.

However, some viewers were not happy to see Gordon on the show, with some saying that he 'ruined' the programme.

One person tweeted: "This is not the Gordon Ramsay Show !! Ruined the programme !!" Another person said: "This is more like #TheApprentice."

A user simply said: "It’s been interesting seeing Gordon Ramsay on this show. However never again please."

A third user said: "The worst decision by MC to have Ramsey on … why do we want to watch a chef who can’t speak respectfully to contestants. He is all about his own ego and not encouraging these gifted amateurs."

A fourth person typed: "It's the Gordon Ramsay show again...least we didn't have to suffer John and Gregg as much."

Gordon opened his flagship restaurant in 1998 and by 2001 the restaurant had been awarded the coveted 3 Michelin stars.

The dinner was held as a special anniversary for the restaurant as it celebrates 21 years of holding three Michelin stars.

MasterChef concludes tomorrow on BBC One at 8pm.
