An Edinburgh local hero has announced he is due to appear on the new series of the BBC’s Masterchef.
Dean Reilly raises money for MS Society Scotland and has completed seven fundraising marathons in recent years.
He was awarded Edinburgh’s Local Hero Winner 2016 and a Lorraine Kelly “Kelly’s Hero” Award for his endeavours.

The 40-year-old was first diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a decade ago and has been fighting back ever since.
Now, he has announced he is due to appear on the BBC’s acclaimed show when the new series starts on March 23.
He will be watched under the eyes of judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace as he competes against the other contestants to win the top prize and become this year’s Masterchef.
Birmingham born Dan Lee won last year’s show after impressing the judges in the final with with his Singapore-inspired three-course meal.

Dean Reilly said on Facebook that the news was ‘bittersweet’ as his beloved father passed away last month.
His friends replied in droves, wishing him well and reminding him how proud his father was of his efforts.
