A Bristol supermarket manager wowed the judges on BBC Masterchef once again tonight (April 11). Woei John Lee is putting his skills to the test in front of judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace in the 19th series of the show.
Woei, 41, is originally from Ipon in Malaysia but moved to Bristol 13 years ago. He now lives in the city with his wife and daughter.
In tonight's (April 11) episode, guest judge William Sitwell tasked the remaining contestants with cooking a dish inspired by their favourite celebrity chef. Woei opted to cook a Taiwanese-braised beef noodle soup inspired by Ching He Huang.

Before trying the dish, William said: "Big, bold and generous. It's one of those dishes I just can't wait to dive into." After tasting it, he added: "This dish is seeped in the essence of hospitality. It's really meaty, earthy and beautiful.
"You've then got all of those other Asian flavours coming through." Gregg added: "What you've made here is a bowl of yummy. That beef is so soft it's lovely. The noodles are really well made. Good dish."
John finished the feedback by saying: "The flavour of that broth is good. I'm going to say congratulations to you because you've done something everyone else has failed to do - unite the three people in front of you."
Woei was amazed by the positive feedback. He concluded by saying: "William is one of the hardest food critics to please, so to get a compliment out of his mouth is.. what can I say?"
